Bazzard Black

Bazzard Black is a young man about 179 cm tall.

He has pink hair styled in a striking red mohawk, which he thinks is "super cool."

He wears a special outfit that looks a bit like a gang uniform.

He always wears a nut-shaped earring on his left ear and a bolt-shaped one on his right.

Both of his arms have armbands decorated with skull marks.

His main weapon looks like a crossbow.

Bazzard is aggressive, straightforward, and quick to lose his temper.

He shouts "OHH!" often, especially when excited in battle.

He seems not to care much for his fellow knights—in fights, he even attacks teammates if he wants all the credit for a win.

Even though he acts like a loner, he does show a bit of loyalty to close friends, especially during key moments.

Bazzard enjoys unique styles and calls Renji Abarai’s eyebrows "cool," which surprises Renji.

He values strength and loves a good challenge.

Bazzard’s real name is Bazzard Black.

He was born in the family of a local lord in the land where Quincy live.

His village and family were destroyed by Yhwach, the ruler of the Quincy, in a deadly ritual called "Auswählen."

After that, Bazzard vowed to get revenge on Yhwach and joined the Sternritter, the elite group of Quincies.

Growing up, he was an older-brother figure to Jugram Haschwalth, his childhood friend, who called him "Bazz."

Bazzard was very talented, but later found out that much of his power actually came from Jugram’s unique abilities.

Bazzard’s powers are called "The Heat," marked by the letter "H."

He can control fire and heat in many ways, using them to attack in battle.

He claims he can match even the strongest flames, almost surviving Yhwach’s deadliest fire attack.

Bazzard’s attacks often involve shooting burning beams or waves from his fingers.

He has a special transformation called Vollständig, where he grows staff-shaped wings and fires much faster.

He still cares about Jugram deep down, even as they become rivals.

First Invasion of the Soul Society

Bazzard joins the Quincy invasion, killing Izuru Kira and many Soul Reapers.

He attacks Yamamoto Genryusai with others but gets burned badly.

Still, he survives thanks to his own powers and ignores hurt allies.

After retreating, Bazzard finds out Yhwach picked Uryuu Ishida as successor.

Angry, he tries to argue but almost ends up fighting Jugram Haschwalth.

Second Invasion and Battles

During the next attack, Bazzard fights Toshiro Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto.

He nearly defeats them, but has to let his friend Cang Du finish off Hitsugaya because of Yhwach's order.

Cang Du loses, and Bazzard is forced to retreat.

Bazzard then attacks Momo Hinamori and others, and later interrupts Liltotto, Candice, Meninas, and Giselle’s fight with Ichigo Kurosaki.

He faces off against Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai, using his strongest powers.

But then Yhwach steals the powers of many Quincies, including Bazzard.

Feeling betrayed, Bazzard kills NaNaNa Najahkoop, who is still loyal to Yhwach, and decides to fight against Yhwach with the Soul Reapers.

The Last Stand Against Jugram

Bazzard and his new allies break into the king’s palace.

Bazzard faces Jugram Haschwalth, wishing to settle things once and for all.

He uses all his flame techniques but is overwhelmed by Jugram’s strength.

In the end, Bazzard loses his arm, is defeated, and dies with a smile, quietly accepting his loss to his old friend.

Past and Childhood Friendship

As children, Bazzard and Jugram lived hard lives after losing their families.

Bazzard taught Jugram about their world and promised to help him get revenge.

Eventually, Yhwach came and picked Jugram as his right hand, which made Bazzard jealous.

It turned out, Bazzard owed much of his strength to Jugram’s hidden power.

This truth hurt their friendship badly.
