Akari Seto

Akari is a cheerful young woman and a first-year university student.

She lives alone in a one-room apartment.

Akari is very bright, full of curiosity, and always eager to help others.

She is good at talking with people and makes friends easily, even with those she has just met.

She is polite to older students and never gives up, even when someone seems annoyed with her.

Akari does not scare easily, even when faced with strange or scary things from the supernatural world.

She often gets attached to people who seem distant, saying, "Since I was little, I tend to admire people who don't care about me."

She seems to have a small "stalker" habit, honestly following people she likes, like Sorawo Kamikoshi.

Akari grew up in Saitama City.

Her parents moved for work, so Akari started living on her own in an apartment.

She goes to the same university as Sorawo Kamikoshi but is in a different department, studying education.

She is a member of the cooking club at her university.

Akari has been doing karate for a long time and even won a prefectural tournament in high school.

Akari is an expert in karate.

She won her high school karate prefectural championship and is known for her strong fighting skills.

She also enjoys cooking and can make dishes like stir-fried meat and vegetables and miso soup.

She admires Sorawo Kamikoshi a lot and calls her "Senpai."

Even when Sorawo is a little cold or distant, Akari keeps following her because she finds Sorawo cool.

Akari has been tutored by Satsuki Uruma, who once thought Akari could be a future partner for exploring the Otherside.

She also becomes friends with Natsumi Ichikawa and Kozakura after spending more time with them, especially during their hotel girls' night event.

First Appearance and Ninja Cat Attack

Akari is first introduced in File 7 ("Attacked by the Ninja Cat"; episode eight in the anime).

She seeks help from Sorawo Kamikoshi because she keeps getting attacked by a supernatural ninja cat.

This encounter draws Akari into mysterious events linked to the Otherside.

Meeting Kozakura and Following Sorawo

She hears about Kozakura from Satsuki Uruma and manages to find her house.

Although Akari claims she found Kozakura's place by searching, it's revealed she actually followed Sorawo secretly.

Akari also finds her way to the DS Club in the same manner, again by tailing Sorawo.

Friendship and Social Skills

Even when her habit of following others is pointed out, Akari becomes flustered but openly admits to admiring Sorawo.

Through these events, she manages to become friends with both Kozakura and Natsumi Ichikawa.

A girls' night out at a hotel brings the girls even closer.

Otherside Encounters

Although she gets swept up in supernatural incidents, Akari does not fully understand the details of the Otherside world.

She confuses the "middle area" with the true Otherside, thinking Sorawo and Toriko Nishina are experts researching there.

During one case, she ends up cooperating with Sorawo and Toriko as they face supernatural dangers.

Akari's actions and bravery help push the story forward.
