Gilbert initially belonged to the party “Crimson Flame,” which he joined at its formation.

However, his progression soon outpaced the rest of the members, creating a gap in ability and speed.

As his dungeon-clearing pace became too fast for his teammates to follow, Gilbert chose to leave the party.

He began searching for a higher-level group that could match his ambitions and fighting style.

To find such a group, he joined a recruitment event organized by the organization “Footprints of the Beginning.”

There, he aimed to secure a place in a more elite party and further prove his strength.

During the recruitment event, Gilbert approached Krai Andrey with a bold attitude.

He told Krai, “If you bow your head, I will join your party,” showcasing his arrogance and confidence.

However, in the contest for the “Bullet Finger” (a competitive selection match), he was swiftly defeated by Tino Shade.

After the incident involving the return from the dungeon known as “White Wolf’s Nest,” Gilbert’s stance softened.

In the vacation arc of the story, Gilbert appears again in a more impulsive light.

He teams up with Rhuda Runebeck and decides to follow Krai Andrey despite the risks.

Together with Arnold Hail’s party “Mist Thunder Dragon,” a level 7 party, Gilbert ends up attempting something absurdly dangerous.

They launch an incursion into the level 8 Treasure Hall known as “Castle of Ten Thousand Demons,” a dungeon far beyond the usual scope for someone of Gilbert’s level.

This reckless assault highlights both his courage and his lack of restraint.
