Kashira

Kashira is a green creature with only a head, no body or limbs.

His face looks like a middle-aged man.

Kashira moves around by bouncing or rolling.

There are always three Kashira together, never alone.

Kashira cannot speak regular words.

He only shouts "Hey!" over and over again.

Even so, he shows emotions like fear.

Kashira acts nervous when Bou comes out of his room.

He seems to avoid trouble and tries to stick with his friends.

Kashira can move by jumping or rolling even though he has no body.

He can change his appearance when magic is used on him.

He always stays in sync with the other two Kashira.

Kashira serves Yubaba and follows her orders.

He is often seen around Bou and may play with him.

However, because Bou is much bigger and stronger, Kashira’s "playtime" looks more like getting bullied.

Kashira works closely with his two identical partners.

Serving Yubaba

Kashira is shown as an assistant to Yubaba in her office.

He usually moves together with the other two Kashira and does not talk.

Transformed by Magic

At one point, Kashira is turned into Bou using magic from Zeniba.

His behavior, like quickly eating sweets, makes Yubaba suspicious.

When Yubaba realizes something is wrong, she turns Kashira back to his real form.

Exposed and Escape

After being discovered, Kashira and his group quickly run away from Yubaba’s office.

As Bou, Kashira tries to squash the real Bou (turned into a mouse) and the bird (turned into a buzzing fly), showing he does not recognize these friends.

Relationship with Bou

Kashira stays near Bou but is usually treated roughly because Bou is clumsy and strong.

Kashira is never called by name in the movie; fans know this name from other sources.

He is always seen in a team of three and never alone.

Kashira is one of many strange creatures in the bathhouse.
