However, she can sometimes flash a cynical smile, hinting at the countless life-or-death battles she has endured as an assassin.

She treats Tatsumi like a younger brother and cares for him deeply, though she also playfully claims he'll be hers once he grows into a "fine man."

Her flirtatious advances are often half in jest, leaving the true extent of her romantic feelings for Tatsumi ambiguous.

Leone has a wild side, with a terrible habit of squandering money and accumulating massive debts.

She isn't above swindling people, as she did when she tricked a newly-arrived Tatsumi out of all his cash.

Her beloved Teigu was something she purchased from a black market during her time in the slums.

In public, she maintains a cover as a skilled and popular masseuse in the slums, where she is well-liked, especially by the local children.

She also serves as Night Raid's primary contact for civilian assassination requests, handling the intel gathering and background checks for their targets.

In the prequel series, *Akame ga Kill! Zero*, Leone played a key role in supporting Akame's defection from the Empire.

Hundred-Beast Transformation: Lionel

Leone wields a belt-type Teigu called "Hundred-Beast Transformation: Lionel."

When activated, it transforms her into a half-beast, dramatically boosting her physical abilities, five senses, and even granting her a wild, sixth-sense-like instinct.

Her offensive power becomes immense, capable of punching a hole clean through a person's body with a single blow.

Leone acts as a dependable big sister to Tatsumi, who affectionately calls her "sis."

She was the one who saw his potential and forcefully recruited him into Night Raid, forming a bond with him like that of siblings. She was also the first to claim him, stating he would be hers once he matured.

Akame

Leone is particularly close with Akame, and the two are often seen together.

Their frequent interactions suggest a deep and trusting friendship.

First Encounter and Recruitment

Leone's first meeting with Tatsumi involved her swindling him out of all his money shortly after his arrival in the capital.

They fatefully reunite at the home of the seemingly kind Aria, where Leone exposes the family's twisted hobby of torturing outsiders. After witnessing Tatsumi's resolve and lack of hesitation to kill, she strong-arms him into joining Night Raid.

The Final Battle (Manga)

In the final battle, it's revealed that her Teigu, Lionel, had been slowly fusing with her body without her knowledge.

This fusion allows her to survive a seemingly fatal wound from Minister Honest. She rallies to strike him down and throws his body into the hands of the vengeful revolutionary army. Realizing she doesn't have much time left, she spends her last moments enjoying the liberated city before passing away peacefully in a back alley.

The Final Battle (Anime)

In the anime's version of events, Minister Honest exploits Leone's habit of toying with her prey.

He nullifies her Teigu and shoots her with a pistol. Despite her injuries, she musters the strength to beat him to death with her bare hands. After saying her final goodbyes to Akame and witnessing the peaceful new era in the slums, she dies quietly in an alley.

Trivia

Leone's voice actress, Yuu Asakawa, was a host on an internet radio show related to another game the manga's author worked on.

On the show, she promoted *Akame ga Kill!* and passionately declared that she would "absolutely get a role" if it ever received an anime adaptation.
