Hitomi Mishima

Hitomi Mishima has long black hair often reaching down to her shoulder blades.

She usually wears a red ribbon or headband when not at school.

She started wearing glasses because of her work with computers.

Her height is 146 cm, and it hasn’t changed since her first year of junior high school.

Her mother is 139 cm tall, and looks very young, leading others to think Hitomi might have a gene that stops her from growing after a certain age.

Hitomi is kind-hearted, tidy, and finds it really hard to refuse requests from others.

She thinks of herself as an ordinary girl, but her quick learning and flexibility set her apart from everyone else.

Her habit of making blunt, honest comments without realizing it sometimes surprises or upsets people around her.

Though she handles any task with ease, the constant demands of others leave her stressed and tired.

She wishes she could be free from all her responsibilities but somehow keeps getting caught up in more.

Hitomi Mishima is a student at Watanabe Middle School in Toshima Ward, Tokyo.

She becomes Hina’s classmate and life turns upside down when she’s made her helper.

Hitomi lives alone in a fancy apartment with a high rent, handles a crazy number of part-time jobs, and even works as a bartender at "Little Song," a bar run by Utako Sakura.

Her reputation quickly grows, and soon she is running the bar better than Utako herself.

Over time, Hitomi takes on jobs like a building window cleaner, tutor, restaurant waiter, and beer vendor, always receiving positive feedback.

Hitomi has an incredible ability to learn and master any skill in almost no time.

She adapts to new situations very fast.

She isn’t naturally good at sports, but somehow gains the stamina to keep up with tough military training from the US Army.

Whenever she learns languages, she ends up speaking English filled with American army slang.

Everything she tries, she becomes extremely good at—sometimes scaring those around her.

Dragged into Hina’s World

After Hina transfers to Hitomi’s middle school and ends up sitting next to her, Hitomi gets chosen as Hina’s helper.

Because of Hina’s strange behavior, Hitomi keeps getting pulled into weird and sometimes dangerous situations both in and outside of school.

The Accidental Bartender

Utako Sakura, the bar owner, tricks Hitomi into working as a bartender at "Little Song" late at night.

Despite being a middle schooler, Hitomi quickly becomes even better at bartending than Utako, and ends up running the bar.

Multi-Tasking Prodigy

Hitomi ends up living alone in a luxury apartment, juggling jobs as a bartender, office worker, window cleaner, tutor, restaurant waiter, beer seller at the stadium, and even donning mascot costumes.

She always gets praise for her work and builds a huge network of contacts among business people.

Friendship and Honesty

She befriends Anzu by chance but never finds out Anzu’s true identity.

Hitomi sometimes makes blunt comments without knowing, which can hurt or shock people around her, including her friends.

High School and Company President

In high school, Hitomi is forced by her teacher Tsubasa Matsutani to advance to Shindake High School as a recommended student, even though Hitomi wanted to focus on her company.

She becomes both a high school student and a company president, a feat that amazes everyone around her.

Facing the Future

Hitomi learns from Haru about her own future, where she is called "Chairwoman Mishima," involved in consulting for the powerful "Superhuman Society" that created Hina and others.

The society later becomes a terrorist group, and Hitomi’s actions help end a civil war in the future, making her a hero.

When she tries to change this future, she confesses her resume is fake, leaves her company, and escapes abroad—only to become the CEO of an American telecom company by accident.

Conflict with Yoshifumi Nitta

Realizing that meeting Yoshifumi Nitta set her wild life in motion, Hitomi becomes angry when he refuses to help.

She thoroughly sabotages his business, wins over his employees, and even tries taking Anzu’s food stand by offering investment—forcing Nitta to become her helper.

Eventually, they patch things up and return to a friendlier relationship, though Hina discovers Hitomi’s feelings for Nitta.

• Hitomi never wanted any of the crazy events that happened to her; her greatest wish is just to be free from all responsibilities.
• Even though her physical abilities are normal, her ability to master anything makes her feel almost like a superhero without superpowers.
• Her life always seems to balance on the edge—she sleeps whenever and wherever she can, often dozing off in class because of exhaustion.
