Futaba Fukumoto's friend, who is known as "Mocchan," was unable to play with Futaba for a period of time due to his older sister's influence. Along with Yamazaki and Yamashita, he is known as one of the "Yama-baka Trio." During first and second grade in elementary school, he was in the same class as Aiko Ninomiya, and has known about Aiko's kindness since then. Aiko has said that she likes him the most among the boys, but still often mistakes his name and doesn't listen to him until the end when he speaks. Nevertheless, he does not give up and tries to follow in Futaba's successful footsteps, making efforts to leave an impression on Aiko.
