A student of Chinese nationality with black bobbed hair and sharp eyes. In the "Anime Mirai" version, Shao-Yi appears with brown hair and, together with Mary and Hilda, challenges the Ancient Dragon. In the Ace version of the comic, Shao-Yi is chosen as a participant in the Broom Race, but after learning of Diana Cavendish's withdrawal, she tearfully decides not to compete.
