At the beginning of the anime, in Episode 1, Max appears alongside Smile Man to confront Vaccine Man during the latter’s rampage.

Despite their efforts as A-Class heroes, Vaccine Man easily defeats them in a single, overwhelming exchange.

Later, during the Deep Sea King incident, Max survives and continues his hero work.

By Episode 11, he rushes to the devastated City A, joining Stinger and Mumen Rider to assist in rescue operations and help disaster victims.
