In the outskirts of Melromarc Castle Town, there exists a man engaged in slave trading. He publicly calls himself a monster merchant, and is known for ending his sentences with the phrase "—yes, yes." He appears before Naofumi Iwatani, recommending the purchase of slaves, but Naofumi, who has become unable to gain companions due to false charges, remains wary of him.
Beloukas recognizes Naofumi’s business acumen and comes to regard him as an important customer. He has sold Raphtalia and eggs from which Filo hatched to Naofumi, and assists in the rebuilding of Lulorona Village by finding and selling slaves to him. However, Naofumi continues to feel uneasy about Beloukas' words and actions. Beloukas himself claims, "I do employ sales tactics, but I never misrepresent my merchandise." Raphtalia also comments that "he's relatively decent."
As a monster merchant, Beloukas provides support such as teaching children from the village how to rear monster eggs they have brought back, and registering monster crests under Naofumi’s name. He is also involved in managing a circus troupe.
