Astraea·Libra is a male student in the same class as Spica·Virgo in *The Classroom of the Black Cat and a Witch*, and the son of the vice principal, Justice·Libra.
Astraea·Libra is a bespectacled boy belonging to Claude·Sirius's coven.
He is voiced by Tomohiro Oono.
His father, Zuben·Justice·Libra, serves as vice principal of Diana Academy.
After earning a doctorate in magic, his father became widely recognized as a genius who developed numerous magical tools.
At first glance, Astraea seems like a serious, gentle honor student.
In truth, he is an outrageous flirt with a shameless weakness for women.
He hits on practically any woman he sees, whether student or teacher.
Because of that, he is often cited as one of the notorious troublemakers of Pandora's Box.
There is, however, a strange standard behind his behavior.
By using a mind's-eye type magic, he appears to judge people's inner selves and only approaches women he considers pure of heart, even elderly women.
Astraea is comedic, troublesome, and undeniably eccentric.
His refined appearance hides a wildly perverted streak.
Even so, he is not without talent or dedication.
When he has a goal worth pursuing, he becomes strikingly serious about research and development and shows impressive ability.
Claude·Sirius specifically recognizes this side of him.
In that respect, Astraea is said to resemble his father very closely as a true researcher.
He also appears to be strongly attached to maternal affection.
When turned into a child by a magical beast's gas, he cried constantly because his mother was not there, and after returning to normal, he brazenly insisted that "all men love their moms," suggesting a notable mommy complex.
Since an incident from the beginning of the school year, Astraea has often involved himself with Castor·Gemini.
He frequently pairs up with Castor, partly because he hopes to get closer to Castor's younger twin, Pollux·Gemini.
His behavior suggests that he does not realize Castor and Pollux are twins.
That misunderstanding adds another layer to his already chaotic interactions.
Driven by his desire to become closer to Pollux, Astraea developed a powdered potion capable of changing a person's sex.
To gather the ingredients, he entered a cave-type dungeon accompanied by Claude·Sirius and Spica·Virgo.
There, the group was cornered by hundreds of bat-like monsters.
Astraea awakened at the last moment and drove them back, successfully obtaining the required material, though his motive remained thoroughly impure.
He later demonstrated the potion within the coven.
However, when he stumbled, he dropped the bottle, and Leo·Regulus reflexively shattered it with a high kick.
The contents spread throughout the classroom.
As a result, everyone's sex was reversed.
During that incident, Astraea's heart also became female.
Ironically, he nearly ended up completely infatuated with Castor·Gemini.
During a workplace training trip to the royal capital, Astraea fought a desperate battle alongside Castor·Gemini and Claude·Sirius against Hout of the Black Serpent Cult.
They ultimately drove Hout back.
In that clash, Astraea suffered damage to his arm severe enough to seem beyond recovery.
Fortunately, the newly awakened regenerative magic of Spica·Virgo succeeded in healing him.
At the school festival, while the class was deciding what attraction or item to present, Astraea selected a product being sold in town called the "personality-swapping cookie."
He then succeeded in independently producing and selling his own version.
Libra Magic
Astraea uses Libra Magic, a form of mind's-eye magic.
Many of its techniques deal with thoughts and the mind, and its everyday use is prohibited.
Themis's Eye
Themis's Eye is a spell that reads an opponent's thoughts.
Because it can only be used in combat situations, Astraea employs it to predict and evade enemy attacks.
