Yū

Yū is called "Yū" by Hiroko and "Yū-chan" by Kana Minami.

She is a girl with a tough image, but she does not enjoy being treated like a classic school boss.

She greatly admires Haruka Minami, who was the middle school’s first-generation delinquent boss.

Because of that connection, Yū’s own position as the third-generation boss carries a certain weight.

Yū was chosen as the third-generation boss of her middle school.

However, she is clearly uncomfortable with the title and even says, "Stop it," when people introduce her that way.

During the contest to unify the school boss position, she intentionally let Fujioka win.

By doing so, she passed the title of boss on to him.

Although she has the reputation of a fighter, Yū does not seem proud of that image.

She is especially sensitive about how others see her and does not want to be defined by a rough, intimidating role.

Her admiration for Haruka Minami shows that she respects strength and presence.

At the same time, her own actions suggest that she would rather avoid the spotlight that comes with such a reputation.

Yū is physically very strong, especially when it comes to arm wrestling.

She boldly claims that she does not know how to lose at it.

She lives up to that claim by defeating the top members of both the judo club and the kendo club in arm wrestling.

This makes her impressive even among students known for their athletic ability.

At one point, Kana Minami says that the arm-wrestling match is for the title of "gorilla."

Once Yū realizes that, she becomes concerned about appearances.

Rather than risk being associated with such a nickname, she deliberately loses an arm-wrestling match to Kana Minami.

It is a funny moment that perfectly shows how much she cares about her public image.

Yū does not appear in the fourth television anime season, Minami-ke: Tadaima.
