Ryuji Taiga

Grade: 2nd year of high school　Birthday: April 10th

Commonly known as "Ryuji." He has been childhood friends with Makoto Hanaoka since kindergarten, forming a close bond, and secretly harbors special feelings for Makoto deep in his heart. He is admired by Saki Aoi, who calls him "Master," and he always wears shining earrings. He also has a younger sister, Konatsu Taiga, who is acquainted with both him and Makoto. Despite his appearance, Ryuji excels academically and often helps Saki with her studies. He deeply understands both Makoto and Saki, but he was initially cautious of Saki's attempts to get closer to Makoto, worried that her feelings might be nothing but teasing.

Although he remained close to Makoto until partway through their first year of junior high, Ryuji gradually began distancing himself. From the second year of junior high, he and Makoto were placed in different classes. During junior high, Ryuji belonged to the kendo club, and in an effort to maintain a healthy distance from Makoto, he chose a high school that was difficult to commute to from his home. There, he fatefully encountered Makoto, who was cross-dressing.

Ryuji has been Makoto Hanaoka's childhood friend since kindergarten and is called "Ryuji" by Makoto. He is Makoto's only true confidant and is considered a romantic rival to Saki Aoi. Ryuji has romantic feelings for Makoto but tries to convince himself that these feelings are simply friendship.
