Nitronics is wild, passionate, and competitive.

He gets angry quickly, especially when others tease him, snorting and going wild.

However, he knows how to have fun and can joke around.

Even though he sometimes feels inferior because he can't join classic races as a foreign horse, he never lets this stop his fighting spirit.

He cares about fairness and respects real challenges.

Nitronics was born in 1993.

He is a foreign-bred racehorse famous for his huge strength on muddy tracks.

His nickname is the "Dynamite Kid" because of his wild temper and explosive power.

His name comes from "Nitroglycerin."

Nitronics is both a front-runner and a strong closer who can charge ahead or make a late comeback.

He is especially powerful on dirt and heavy (muddy) tracks and can run well from mile distances all the way up to classic long races.

His strength and speed are some of the best in the world, and even rivals like Midori Makibaō admit he can't be beaten on dirt.

Nitronics has an intense rivalry with other top horses like Midori Makibaō and Cascade.

He also has a history with jockey Masayoshi Kiso and later with Masakazu Takigawa.

He is respected and sometimes feared by other horses who have to deal with his fiery nature.

Nitronics is called the "Dynamite Kid" because of his explosive style and short temper.

After he finished racing, he became a successful stallion.

Some of his famous offspring are Grindhouse, winner of the Kakitsubata Kinen, and Kickthepast, 2nd in the Kawasaki Kinen.

Amazing Power and Early Wins

Nitronics arrives in Japan as a super-strong horse, quickly showing everyone what he can do.

He wins the Sapporo Stakes easily, especially because he loves racing in the rain and mud.

After that, he joins the Hakodate Stakes, where he faces his big rival, Midori Makibaō.

Even though the muddy track favors Nitronics, Makibaō surprises everyone by making a last-minute run and beats Nitronics by a small margin.

Battles with Makibaō

In the Keisei Cup Stakes, Nitronics races against Makibaō again.

His jockey switches from Masayoshi Kiso to Masakazu Takigawa for this race.

Nitronics tries a strong late run and passes Ancalgia, but Makibaō comes from far behind and steals the win.

Nitronics has to accept being second place but does it with a better attitude this time.

Blocked from the Classics

Because he is a foreign horse, Nitronics cannot enter the classic races in Japan.

So, he takes a different path and races in other big events.

NHK Mile Cup: Clash with Cascade

In his four-year-old season, Nitronics becomes even stronger, winning four graded races in a row.

He races in the NHK Mile Cup, a new Grade I event that allows foreign horses.

Here, he finally faces Cascade, another top horse.

Even though almost all the runners are foreign horses except Cascade, Nitronics is excited for the challenge.

On a rainy, muddy track, Nitronics runs from mid-pack, while Cascade starts from the back.

They start their duel in the final stretch.

Nitronics taunts Cascade, saying, "You are weak when there is a real fight."

Cascade fights back, showing even more speed, and overtakes Nitronics, winning by one length.

Chasing Glory and Big Wins

Nitronics keeps trying in Grade I and II races but gets second place a few more times.

He gets ready for the Japan Cup and trains together with Makibaō.

In the Japan Cup, Nitronics finally claims first place by beating the famous French horse Cantona.

He becomes a Grade I champion at last.

The Arima Kinen Showdown

In the year-end Arima Kinen, Nitronics is voted into the fan favorite top six, right behind the big three.

This is the first time he faces Amago Wakuchin.

During the race, Cascade takes the lead, but Nitronics does not give up.

He gives it his all, and for a moment, four horses are side by side.

Nitronics finishes 4th, closing out a dramatic year.

Going Overseas

Nitronics even goes on an international trip to Dubai, showing off his power to the world.

He wins his first race there and gets fourth in a super muddy contest against the world's best.

Retirement and Later Life

After the Dubai races, Nitronics shifts to shorter mile races.

In the sequel “The Sun’s Makibaō,” he becomes a popular stallion, with descendants who also become famous racehorses.

In the anime’s final episode, he runs in the Arima Kinen when he is five years old, bringing his career full circle.
