Alice Corner

Alice Corner is one of the bright, lively members of the Ultimate Magicians.

She specializes in offensive magic and stands out for her cheerful, high-energy presence.

Despite her tiny build and childlike appearance, she is far from ordinary.

She is exceptionally talented, and her academic results placed her fifth in the Magic Academy entrance exam, making her the highest-ranked student outside the initial four central main characters.

She later became widely known as the Red member of Magical Girl Cutie Three.

This trio was formed with her close friend and partner Lynn Hughes and May von Earlshide, the younger sister of August von Earlshide.

Alice is lively, impulsive, and the most openly childish member of the Ultimate Magicians.

Her mental maturity is often described as lower than the others, matching her youthful appearance.

She has a clumsy side that frequently lands her in embarrassing situations.

The day after learning the Gate spell, she arrived at the academy still wearing her pajamas.

On another occasion, she forgot she was wearing a skirt and made a huge jump, only to end up horribly embarrassed.

These moments give her a lovable, comedic charm.

She also tends to blurt out whatever she is thinking.

This sometimes makes everyone around her freeze, but her blunt remarks can also hit the mark and unexpectedly open the way to solving a problem.

During the final battle against the demons, it was revealed that her apparently tactless and childish comments were sometimes meant to ease tension and lighten the mood.

That gave her behavior a more thoughtful side than it first appeared.

Alice was born into a commoner family.

Her father, Glenn Corner, worked as an accountant for the Harg Company, a merchant house with close ties to the Wolford family.

Later, when Shin Wolford established the Wolford Company, Glenn was recruited and appointed as its representative.

This advancement also reflects the growing social rise of the Corner family.

After graduating from the Advanced Magic Academy, Alice’s life continued to change.

Her work brought her into more frequent contact with Lois von Claude, and the two gradually became more conscious of each other.

Around the same time that Sicily’s pregnancy became known, Alice and Lois became engaged.

Three years later, they had a son named Squall.

She eventually became a viscountess by marriage.

Although she worked hard to master the refined manners expected of a noble lady, the contrast between her polished public persona and her relaxed true self became a running joke among her friends, who teased her as if she had a "split personality."

Although Alice often behaves like a scatterbrained girl, she is in fact a highly gifted magician.

Her talent was obvious from her student years.

When Shin Wolford taught the group Gate, a teleportation spell, Alice was the first to master it.

That achievement showed just how naturally skilled she was.

Unfortunately, one of her earliest practical uses for the spell was avoiding being late after oversleeping.

This perfectly captures both her brilliance and her slightly disappointing sense of priorities.

Her specialty is attack magic, and her power earned her the nickname "Annihilation Magical Girl."

She is one of the standout offensive fighters in the group.

Alice forms Magical Girl Cutie Three with Lynn Hughes and May von Earlshide.

In the team, she takes the Red role.

This unit became one of the more colorful and memorable parts of the broader story.

In the spin-off Wise Man’s Grandchild SP, which focuses on May, Alice and Lynn were elevated to near co-lead status, and the activities of Magical Girl Cutie Three were featured prominently.

Alice shares a particularly close bond with Lynn Hughes, who is both her best friend and partner.

Their chemistry is a major part of the charm of Magical Girl Cutie Three.

For a long time, she often complained, much like Maria von Messina, that she did not have a romantic partner.

That changed after returning from a mission in Quanlong, when she grew close to Lois von Claude, the brother of Sicily von Claude.

Their relationship developed into dating and then marriage.

By marrying Lois, Alice entered the nobility as the future viscountess and also became the sister-in-law of both Shin Wolford and Sicily von Claude.

In the sequel The Demon King’s Successor, which takes place more than a decade after the main story, Alice is mentioned by her niece Charlotte.

By then, she is said to behave with the grace and elegance expected of a viscountess.

Charlotte, who did not know about Alice’s wild and tomboyish student days, was shocked when she heard stories from the past.

Her reaction made it clear just how much Alice seemed to have changed on the surface.
