Natsuki Shinohara

The heroine of the story. Born on July 19, 1992. She is 18 years old and a third-year student at Kuonji High School, the object of Kenji's affection. She is a member of the kendo club, has a bright and cheerful personality, and is an idol-like figure at school. She invites Kenji to join her on a "part-time job" to visit her family home, asking him to pretend to be her boyfriend. She deeply respects her great-grandmother, Sakae, and sees her as the ideal adult she aspires to be. Similarly, she loves her family very much and, being the oldest among the minors, she actively takes care of the other children and helps the elders. She had a crush on Wabisuke since childhood, but in the novel and manga versions, her great-grandmother Sakae remarks that she doesn't yet understand what it truly means to love someone. Her affection for Wabisuke was actually due to Sakae entrusting her with the task of not letting Wabisuke become isolated within the family, and over time, she confused this sense of duty with romantic feelings. Despite being an OZ user, she is so computer-illiterate that she doesn't even understand the concept of an "account," yet she possesses a natural competitive spirit and becomes a key player in the third confrontation between her family and Love Machine. Her avatar is a girl in traditional Japanese attire with fawn ears, named "Natsuki." During the battle with Love Machine, she receives a rare auspicious item from OZ's guardian, which transforms her kimono. As mentioned, she is the school Madonna admired by all the boys, including Kenji, but she has almost no romantic history. Growing up hearing her great-grandmother's heroic tales and even complaints about her great-grandfather, she developed a mild distrust of men, leading her to immediately reject any confessions of love. As a result, she is inexperienced and oblivious in matters of romance, completely unaware of Kenji's obvious affection for her. She is so romantically fastidious that she cannot even hold hands with men outside her family, and if touched, she would throw them on the spot. Her peers jokingly say her views on romance are akin to those from the Meiji era. Initially, she only saw Kenji as someone to use, but eventually, she developed feelings for him and kissed him on the cheek.
