The protagonist of this story is a high school boy living in the countryside who suddenly loses his younger sister in an accident. Due to this event, he develops a cold personality, heavily influenced by his upbringing. He passes his days in a state of apathy, simply going with the flow of daily life. Through the character of Kaoru Touno, Yatsume seeks to express the many problems he struggles with.
