The protagonist of the side stories "Mahjong King Legend Lion" and "Mahjong King Blood Battle Lion." A highly skilled mahjong player known in the underworld. His real name is revealed in the epilogue of the "Minagoroshi Arc."
Unlike Kei, he is characterized by his intuition-driven playing style, able to read the flow of the game. He possesses extraordinary luck and delicate mahjong techniques. He appears to dress like a host at first glance.
He frequently appears where Kei goes, sometimes standing as his greatest rival, and other times acting as Kei’s best ally, working seamlessly in tandem with him. He is boisterous and has a fondness for women, including girls like Amina. However, he is bewildered by Suriya and Reenya, suggesting that his interest in Amina might be a provocation towards Kei. He relentlessly strips his opponents not just of their money, but their pride, earning the nickname "Lion" for his striking blonde hair and ability to ride the wave to swiftly crush his foes.
He is not hesitant to sacrifice himself for victory, willing to wager even parts of his body if he feels that luck has abandoned him due to a disparity in burdens and risks.
In the second round of the Dragon King Tournament, he wears a black eyepatch over his right eye due to stress-induced psychogenic vision impairment. Despite this, he advances from 15th place in the first round to 3rd place, but is severely injured when attacked by several thugs, rendering him unable to continue playing mahjong and prompting Kei to take his place in the finals.
In the "Hitobashira Arc," although he loses his left eye, he bears no other apparent damage. He teams up with Kei to take revenge against the Yamauchi Group, winning the challenge. He eventually confirms that Takatsu orchestrated his attack, leading to a decisive break with the Takatsu Group. He attempts to return Reenya and Suriya to their homeland but abandons this plan due to lack of preparation and their lack of documentation. Instead, he participates in a survival mahjong match, emerging victorious.
In the "Minagoroshi Arc," he enters the 28th Dragon King Tournament to settle matters with Hakufukun, whom he suspects is backing the event along with its organizer, Nomura.
In the original work, he is portrayed as having a large build, but in the movie version, he is of average height and build.
