Chen Wenwen, also known in the game adaptation as Winnie, is Lu Mingfei's former high school classmate and his first love interest. She was the president of the literature club in the Shilan Noble Junior and Senior High school and became Zhao Menghua's Fianceé.
High school years
Wenwen enjoyed reading, she was shy, attractive and extremely popular, to the point where the literature club itself was made by her classmates for the sole purpose of getting close to her. She invited the underachiever Lu Mingfei to join the club, which reinforced his romantic interest in her. Wenwen was aware of his feelings, but she never reciprocated them.
Mingfei made multiple attempts to impress her, at one point, he participated in the school marathon, but he ended up in last place. Wenwen, who was among the first students to reach the finish line, went back to motivate him and make him company. Later, they were paired up for a dance recital.
As a club president, Wenwen was one of the few students that were invited by Chu Zihang to his birthday party. Wenwen asked Mingfei to put a collection of literary works together as a gift. When Mingfei showed up at the party, she congratulated him for his efforts, took the gift and then closed the door, leaving him outside.
She had a crush on a popular student named Zhao Menghua, and competed with Liu Miaomiao for his attention. Zhao confessed his feelings for Wenwen during their club's goodbye party, right before their graduation, and the two started dating.
Student reunion
Wenwen and Menghua's relationship was rough, with Menghua describing her as constantly depressed and self-pitying. She broke up with Zhao, who started a relationship with Liu Miaomiao instead.
Wenwen invited Lu Mingfei to a club reunion in a pizza restaurant the following summer, merely moments before the event started, yet he was the first one to arrive. At the restaurant, Zhao and Liu announced their engagement. Wenwen was visibly heartbroken. Lu Mingfei stood up to defend her dignity, and Zhao physically confronted him. Before the conflict escalated, Chu Zihang showed up to get Mingfei out of the fight.
Wenwen followed the rest of the group when they left the restaurant and her attitude annoyed Miaomiao, prompting Zhao to yell at Wenwen in public. Trying to help Mingfei, Zihang showed up in his car and invited Wenwen in Mingfei's behalf to have dinner at the luxurious Aspasia restaurant. Wenwen accepted in front of Menghua and the rest of her classmates. When she saw the high prices of the restaurant online, she thought there was a mistake, since Lu Mingfei wasn't wealthy.
Dinner with Mingfei
Mingfei showed up that night and the two enjoyed their plates, especially the wine. Wenwen wished she had brought better clothes, and Mingfei complimented her looks, when he decided to confess to her, Lu Mingze induced a vision where he offered him the hearts of Wenwen and Nono in exchange for a quarter of his life. Mingfei refused the offer and then confessed his feelings to Wenwen in a past tense, saying that he used to like her. He expressed his gratitude for the role she played in his life and in turn she complimented him for growing up.
A call for help
After finding out about Nono's engagement, Mingfei sunk into depression. During his mission in Beijing to locate Fenrir, he stayed in an internet café instead, playing Starcraft for days and nights on end with strangers, one of which begged him to take a break and go home. Wenwen received a call from a missing Zhao Menghua, who got trapped in a Nibelungen after trying to learn more about Cassell. She asked Mingfei for help and he eventually found Zhao, who's memories were wiped by the college.
After his experience, Wenwen took Zhao to her church, and he became a devoted catholic. Eventually, they resumed their relationship.
