Miu Ashihara

Miu Ashihara attended Akamori High School alongside Natsuo Fujii and Rui Tachibana.

At her first appearance, she was in Class 7 and lived in a housing complex.

She belonged to the literary club just like Natsuo, and she also served as its former club president.

Although she once aimed to become a novelist, her experiences in the club later shifted her dream toward becoming an editor.

After graduating from high school, she went on to university.

She also worked part-time at a bookstore.

Miu has semi-long black hair and a neat, refined look.

She has a slender build and feels self-conscious about her small chest, which is one of her major insecurities.

She is extremely shy and suffers badly from stage fright.

When it comes to romance, she is especially timid and inexperienced.

Her reserved nature makes her easy to tease in love-related conversations.

Momo Kashiwabara tends to push her into those topics, and even her younger brother has teased her about them.

Miu is a classmate of Natsuo Fujii, but her romantic feelings are directed elsewhere.

She has an unrequited crush on Reiji Kiriya, the literary club’s adviser.

In the anime opening, she appears in scenes involving Natsuo along with Rui Tachibana, Hina Tachibana, and Momo Kashiwabara.

However, unlike the others, she is not portrayed as someone who sees Natsuo as a romantic interest.

Miu lives with her family in a housing complex.

She has a younger brother named Haruma, who is four years younger than she is.

She also has a younger sister named Miya, who is nine years younger.

Her family background adds to her grounded, everyday presence in the story.
