Her real name has not been disclosed. She is Akane Hououji's mother and runs her own trading company. She is concerned that Akane does not tend to stick with things for very long and worries about her daughter's future. Because of this, she encouraged Akane to work at the trading company and to get married. However, after a meeting with Hayato Kasukabe, she accepted Akane's decision to continue her part-time job.
She also recognizes Hayato Kasukabe as a suitable marriage partner for Akane, and advises her daughter, "As a daughter of the Hououji family, make sure to get everything you want."
