Tome Kurata is a high school girl who loves everything about UFOs and aliens. She is the president of the school’s Telepathy Club. Tome speaks in a blunt way but is actually caring. Sometimes, her shy side stops her from saying what she really feels, which causes trouble with others. After feeling disappointed by her club members' lack of energy, Tome thinks about quitting, but deep inside, she still appreciates their efforts. In high school, she works as Arataka Reigen’s secretary at the Spirits and Such Consultation Office. Tome tries to have a normal high school life, but finds herself drawn back to the world of the supernatural.
Tome Kurata has straight black hair that goes down to her shoulders and always looks a bit sleepy or bored because of her droopy eyes.
She is thin but is often seen eating snacks or food.
Her way of eating is very messy, even more than most boys at her school.
Tome acts cool and calm, and she is always straightforward when she talks.
She takes care of her friends but can also be pushy and bold.
She is secretly very shy and has trouble saying her true feelings, which sometimes leads to arguments.
She is strong-willed and has a big interest in the unknown, especially UFOs and telepathy.
Tome goes to Salt Middle School and is in Class 3-5.
She becomes the president of the Telepathy Club (also called the Brainwave Club) for students interested in aliens and psychic powers.
Most of the time, the club members just hang out and relax instead of working hard on UFO research.
Tome does not have any real supernatural powers.
Her strongest ability is her curiosity and her efforts to find UFOs and signs of aliens.
She is Shigeo Kageyama's (Mob’s) upperclassman and later becomes his friend.
She works closely with Arataka Reigen after starting a part-time job at his office, helping him as a secretary.
Tome interacts often with other club members and sometimes gets Mob to work with her to find real telepaths.
Dreams and Club Activities
Tome wants to meet aliens someday and leads the Telepathy Club.
She tries different ways to find people with psychic powers and often brings Mob on her adventures.
Disappointment and Club Disbandment

She decides to break up the club.
However, although she acts tough, she secretly feels thankful to her friends because they planned fun UFO-hunting trips just for her.
New Life in High School
In the epilogue, Tome becomes a high school student and starts working part-time at the Spirits and Such Consultation Office as Arataka Reigen's secretary.
She tries to leave occult things behind to have a “fresh start” and a normal student life.
Return to the Occult
In the spin-off manga “REIGEN,” Tome misses her old occult adventures and decides to work with Reigen again at the office.
Tome is always looking for new mysteries and likes interesting adventures.
Despite acting tough, she is really sensitive and cares about her friends.
She eats more messily than any of the boys at her school.
Tome’s dream is to meet a real alien or experience something supernatural.
She is a supporting character in Mob Psycho 100.
Even though she doesn’t have any powers, she brings energy and personality to the story.
