The main character of the story. A high school student who transitions from first year to second year. She was quiet and uncomfortable around boys, which led to her being ostracized by girls in middle school who accused her of "putting on a facade." As a result, she isolated herself until graduation. In high school, where no one knew her past, she deliberately acted rough and messy to avoid being disliked by girls. However, as she began to express her true self, she stopped overeating and started carrying a sewing kit, increasing her femininity. After being rejected by Kou, she became even more refined, placing a handkerchief on her seat before sitting. Her room's decor is very girly. She often stands out for sniffing Kou's nape.

In her first year, she was close with Asumi and Chie, but distanced herself after accidentally revealing her true feelings to them, influenced by Kou's comment about "pretend friends." In her second year, she took proactive steps to make friends, becoming a class representative and growing close to Yuuri and Shuko.

In middle school, she had a faint crush on "Tanaka-kun" from the neighboring class. However, he transferred schools suddenly, leaving her feelings unexpressed. In the third semester of her first year in high school, she reunited with Kou and discovered they had mutual feelings in the past, but he told her it was all in the past. Initially, she didn't like the current Kou, but as they spent more time together in the same class in their second year, she realized she liked him despite trying to suppress her feelings for Yuuri's sake.

She comforted Kou, who regretted not fulfilling his mother's modest wishes before she passed away, bringing them closer. However, their relationship grew distant when Narumi's father died, and Narumi moved closer to them. During the cultural festival, an accidental kiss led to a more serious kiss, seemingly bringing them closer again, but Narumi's presence, who shared a similar background with Kou, kept them apart by "just one millimeter."

Seeing Kou and Narumi together, she mistakenly believed they were dating. To put an end to her feelings for Kou, she confessed to him, but he rejected her because he didn't want to be in a half-hearted relationship with Narumi. Despite their mutual feelings, they couldn't be together.

Even in this state, she gradually became attracted to Touma, who confessed his feelings for her. Witnessing Kou and Narumi together further diminished her feelings for Kou, leading her to start dating Touma. However, she eventually realized she couldn't forget Kou and broke up with Touma. Later, on Christmas Eve, Kou confessed to her in a hospital room, and they began dating.
