Junior Centipede

Junior Centipede began life as an ordinary centipede.

Through abnormal and rapid growth, he evolved into a giant monster and developed a human-like ego.

He believes that he stands at the top of the natural world.

This arrogance is a key part of his personality and motivation.

His official disaster level is unknown.

He appears only in the Murata-drawn manga continuity, not in other versions of One-Punch Man.

Junior Centipede is extremely conceited and prideful.

Once he gained self-awareness, he started to see himself as the pinnacle of all living creatures.

He boasts about being the apex of the natural order.

However, this image of himself is shattered when he meets Senior Centipede.

After being humbled, he becomes aware of a hierarchy even among giant centipedes.

Senior Centipede literally teaches him “his place” in the pecking order.

Despite this humiliation, Junior Centipede retains his aggressive and confident attitude in combat.

His pride pushes him into confronting human heroes and trying to prove his superiority.

Junior Centipede’s primary asset is his massive size compared to a normal centipede.

His abnormal growth gives him a tough body and the physical power of a giant monster.

His body structure allows him to move quickly and coil around targets.

This makes him effective at surprise attacks and captures, especially against human-sized opponents.

While powerful compared to regular monsters, he is clearly below Senior Centipede in strength and status.

Junior Centipede appears during an event targeting the Hero Association.

His specific mission is to abduct high-ranking executives of the Hero Association.

He emerges with the intention of kidnapping these key officials.

The plan is to destabilize the heroes by attacking their leadership.

During this operation, Junior Centipede encounters the hero Metal Bat.

The two engage in combat, testing his supposed status as the apex of nature.

Despite his size and monstrous power, Junior Centipede is defeated by Metal Bat.

His loss undercuts his arrogant self-image and shows the gap between him and top human heroes.

Senior Centipede

Senior Centipede is a much stronger centipede monster who outranks Junior Centipede.

At some point in the past, Senior Centipede confronts Junior and puts him in his place.

Senior Centipede teaches Junior Centipede the true hierarchy among centipede monsters.

From that moment, Junior understands that he is not the ultimate being he imagined.

This relationship is defined by dominance and submission rather than camaraderie.

Junior Centipede respects Senior Centipede out of fear and recognition of superior strength.

Heroes

Junior Centipede’s most notable clash is with Metal Bat.

Their battle occurs when Junior tries to kidnap Hero Association executives.

Metal Bat’s victory demonstrates the power of high-ranking heroes even against large monsters.

It also emphasizes that size and bravado alone are not enough to secure victory in the One-Punch Man world.
