She starts playing 'NewWorld Online' after being persuaded by her friend Risa. Generally lacking in gaming knowledge, she dislikes pain so much that she cried during a vaccination in sixth grade. Therefore, she chose a large shield with high defense as her initial setting to avoid taking damage, thinking that by focusing all her status points on defense (VIT), she wouldn't feel pain. This strategy unexpectedly worked well, and through unpredictable actions and coincidences, she acquired hidden elements in the game, leading to a defense so high that she takes no damage from normal attacks. However, her other stats have not grown at all from their initial values. In a dungeon battle with a poison dragon, her equipped dagger and large shield were corroded by the poison breath and disappeared, leaving her without means of attack or defense. However, by using [Meditation] to withstand the poison breath, she acquired [Poison Immunity]. Furthermore, by defeating the poison dragon in an outrageous manner by eating it, she obtained the rare skill [Poison Dragon] and unique series rare equipment. In the 1st event, she decided it was better to wait than to search due to her slow movement speed, and spent her time doodling on the ground (in the anime version, she drew a dragon, and the drawing was very good). She managed to defeat over 2,000 attacking players using her invincible defense and rare skills like [Poison Dragon] and [Gluttony], achieving 3rd place. Her cute appearance, beginner-like innocence, and invincible strength earned her the nickname "Walking Fortress" from other players, who viewed her with interest and awe.

Due to living in the game for a week during the second event, she made mistakes in her real-life school life, such as taking a combat stance and almost saying [Cover Move], so she didn't log into the game for about three days to shake off the influence.

As the story progresses, her defense (VIT) continues to increase, allowing her to withstand large damage from self-destruct skills. Although Maple's movement speed remains slow, she compensates with various skills and the support of her reliable companions, such as the floating Syrup and the recoil from [Atrocity] and [Machine God] bombardments. While she hasn't developed her attack power (STR), she possesses multiple powerful attack skills that don't rely on her original stats, effectively combining tank and attacker abilities. In the early days, she even had Sally carry her without any equipment (in the anime version, she attacked dog-type monsters from Sally's back and absorbed them with [Gluttony]), and she mastered a technique to quickly move to "where Sally is" using the skills [Cover] and [Cover Move].

Despite these skills and actions, she has a very straightforward and honest personality, easily making friends with anyone. She acts on her ideas without much thought, often coming up with unexpected ideas that surprise everyone, according to Sally. Additionally, she has the luck to draw extremely rare key items.

The game's management, concerned about the imbalance caused by Maple's extraordinary strength and luck, frequently weakens her skills, but she continues to grow beyond their expectations through her actions and luck. She has become a mascot character for the game, making it difficult to adjust her, and contributes to sales, leading the management to half-heartedly give up and watch over her. In the guild, she is the top of the abnormal category, always causing something to happen when she goes out. Her appearance frequently changes due to the effects of the rare skills she acquires.

She falls asleep very quickly, immediately dozing off when she lies down in bed and turns off the lights.

A turtle born from the [Phantom Beast Egg] obtained by Maple and Sally after defeating the hidden boss [Silver Wing] in the 2nd event. The name comes from maple syrup. Although it's a tortoise type, its movement speed is faster than Maple's. Normally about the size of a human head, it can become a flying vehicle through the skill [Enlarge] obtained by leveling up and the skill [Telekinesis] acquired by Maple, allowing her to rain down poison [Acid Rain] from above, earning the nickname "Floating Fortress." Later, it learned attack skills like [Spirit Cannon], allowing it to participate directly in battles.
