Kiryu Miharu

A boy who is a bat familiar with the power of a vampire. He is a third-year middle school student. He is a beautiful boy whom Morihito and others met at a sacred place they visited according to a new prophecy by Nico's mother, Ibuki. He has long eyelashes and fair skin, with an appearance so striking that he could be mistaken for a girl. Since he collapses if exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, he often carries a parasol.

At first glance, he appears graceful and polite, but he is unable to read the room and prefers grotesque and non-delicate remarks. His family has been exorcists for generations, and his father also works as a priest while secretly acting as an exorcist. Miharu himself possesses particularly strong powers as an exorcist and can fight using a rapier hidden in his parasol.

Modern vampires no longer suck blood but instead absorb life energy and magical power through their skin. The Kiryu family itself had weakened vampire powers, and vampires were a declining race, but Miharu, born with strong vampire powers, particularly needed life energy.

Initially, when he first awakened to his abilities, he would subtly siphon life energy from his friends, but as he grew and required more energy, he began to take life energy from his father alone. As a result, his father's aging accelerated, and Miharu planned to gradually reduce his daytime activities and give up further education to minimize the energy needed. However, after Morihito proposed supplying the powerful life energy possessed by familiars like themselves, Miharu began to stay with the Otogi family.
