Totomaru Isshiki is the other protagonist of the series and serves as the straight man. He works as a detective at the Metropolitan Police Department. He has a tendency to attract hardship but is inherently kind-hearted. Because Ron Kamonohashi is unable to present his deductions in public, Totomaru Isshiki acts as his spokesperson and conveys Ron's reasoning on his behalf.
