Nanaka has a youthful, androgynous face, and from a distance he can easily be mistaken for a girl.

His small build and expressive features give him an almost fragile look, which contrasts with his training and sharp instincts.

As a beastman, he can switch between a human form and the form of a small black puppy.

This transformation makes him excellent at stealth missions, reconnaissance, and moving around unnoticed inside enemy territory.

Nanaka is naturally nocturnal, preferring to be active at night.

Because of this, when he works during the day he often becomes very sleepy afterward and tends to rest or doze off once his duties are done.

Nanaka is proud, quick-witted, and more mature inside than his childlike appearance suggests.

He strongly dislikes being treated like a child, which easily irritates him, especially when others underestimate him because of his looks or age.

Nanaka was born into the beastman race and, at some point, fell under the control of the corrupt chancellor Godwin Bene Carmine, a powerful figure aligned with the second prince faction.

Godwin carved a slave mark into Nanaka, magically forcing him into complete obedience and turning him into a tool for espionage and assassination.

Acting under Godwin’s orders, Nanaka infiltrated the Vandimion ducal household disguised as a maid.

His small stature, delicate features, and ability to transform into a black puppy made him the perfect covert operative for moving around the estate unnoticed and gathering information.

After Scarlet El Vandimion struck Godwin’s son, Godwin flew into a rage and ordered Nanaka to assassinate her.

Bound by the slave mark, Nanaka had no choice but to follow this order and targeted Scarlet’s life despite having no personal grudge against her.

The assassination attempt ultimately failed.

Instead of killing Scarlet, the turning point came when she used the divine blessing of Chronoir to erase the slave mark engraved on Nanaka, freeing him from forced servitude.

With the slave mark removed, Nanaka experienced true freedom for the first time in a long while.

Deeply moved by Scarlet’s mercy and the fact that she liberated him rather than punishing him, he severed his ties to Godwin Bene Carmine and defected from the second prince faction.

Out of profound gratitude and a sense of debt, Nanaka chose to serve Scarlet El Vandimion of his own free will.

He became one of her subordinates, using his skills in espionage and stealth not as a slave assassin but as a loyal ally working in the shadows for her sake.

Scarlet El Vandimion

Scarlet is the person who freed Nanaka by removing his slave mark through the blessing of Chronoir.

Nanaka holds deep respect and gratitude toward her, seeing her as both savior and master and dedicating his skills to her service.

His loyalty to Scarlet is not based on fear or compulsion but on genuine emotion.

He strives to repay the life and freedom she returned to him, often pushing himself in dangerous missions to protect her interests.

Godwin Bene Carmine

Godwin Bene Carmine is the corrupt chancellor who originally enslaved Nanaka.

By carving a slave mark into Nanaka, he forced him into acting as a covert agent and assassin, sending him into the Vandimion household as a maid.

Godwin’s command to kill Scarlet after she struck his son was the final act that defined Nanaka’s role as an assassin.

After Nanaka’s liberation, Godwin becomes a symbol of the abusive power and cruelty that Nanaka has escaped from and now opposes in spirit.

Rex

Rex is taken in by Scarlet shortly after Nanaka enters her service.

Nanaka secretly views Rex as a rival, especially in terms of who is more trusted or favored by Scarlet.
