Junpei Yoshino

A second-year student at Rizakura High School who can see curses. He enjoys movies and watches a wide range of films, from minor B-movies to remakes of old works. He prefers watching movies in theaters over watching them at home, and when he skipped school, he would go to the cinema alone. In his first year of high school, he started a movie research club with two friends, but it was taken over by delinquent students led by Ito, and after standing up to them, he was bullied and stopped attending school. As a result, he believed that "indifference is the virtue humanity should aspire to," and even when he saw humans transformed into grotesque forms by Mahito, he barely changed his expression, though deep down, he desired revenge on those who bullied him. However, his love for his mother, Nagi, was very deep. He was reasonably intelligent but had a narrow perspective and failed to recognize Mahito's danger until just before being killed by him.

At the cinema, under Mahito's guidance, he learned a technique to refine poison from his own cursed energy and became able to summon a large jellyfish shikigami named "Oridzuki." His conversations with Mahito intensified his desire for revenge, and he attempted to curse a teacher he met in front of his house but was saved by meeting Itadori and became friends with him. After hearing Itadori's words at their parting, he considered giving up on revenge for his mother's sake. However, later, due to a scheme by the fake Gakuganji, his mother was killed, and under Mahito's influence, he attacked the high school to take revenge on Ito. He put the students to sleep and nearly killed Ito, the main perpetrator of the bullying, with his technique's poison and violence, but ended up fighting Itadori who intervened. After a desperate persuasion by Itadori, he had a change of heart and was recommended by Itadori to transfer to the Jujutsu High School. However, Mahito appeared and transformed him into a grotesque form using "Idle Transfiguration," using him as a pawn to corner Itadori, ultimately leading to his death due to the strain of the forced transformation. After the incident, he was treated as having withdrawn from Rizakura High School.
