Character Setting

Edit

Kuroro is a fairy from Hope Kingdom, with a cat-like appearance and a timid yet lovable personality, whose life changed dramatically after being possessed by the villain Rock.

Kuroro resembles a brown-patterned cat, wearing a distinctive yellow hood.

His fairy form is small and adorable, further emphasized by his expressive eyes.

When transformed into human form under Rock's influence, Kuroro appears as a brown-haired boy with his eyes hidden, and later as a youth with visible eyes.

After being freed from Rock, he is sometimes seen wearing a red ribbon similar to Miss Shamour's.

Kuroro is shy, easily frightened, and tends to get lonely quickly.

He often looks gloomy when remembering Hope Kingdom under Dyspear's control.

Despite his fearfulness, he has a gentle and earnest heart and deeply desires to help his friends.

Kuroro’s speech ends with a unique "roro" sound.

He tries his best to be brave, especially after encouragement from others.

Kuroro is a resident fairy of Hope Kingdom.

He is a friend to other fairies and addresses Prince Kanata and Akagi Towa with honorifics.

He is referred to by Miss Shamour and Pafu simply as "Kuroro," while Nanase Yui calls him "Kuroro-kun."

During a day playing with his fairy friends, he was possessed by Rock, one of the Three Musketeers of Dysdark, and was used as Rock’s vessel.

As a fairy, Kuroro can reside within magical items like the Princess Lesson Pad.

He does not display overt magical powers of his own but proves instrumental in the emotional and moral support of his friends.

While possessed by Rock, his body is altered to suit Rock's needs, including an adult form used for fighting.

Kuroro holds deep respect for Prince Kanata and Akagi Towa, always addressing them politely.

He has a close and trusting relationship with Miss Shamour, who helps him recover emotionally and supports his desire to become a Royal Teacher.

He is cared for by Haruno Haruka and the other Pretty Cures, especially during his recovery after being freed from Rock.

Kuroro is also friends with other fairies in Hope Kingdom and looks up to Miss Shamour as a mentor.

Kuroro refers to himself with "Boku," typically a masculine self-pronoun.

After recovering from trauma, he resides in the Princess Lesson Pad with Miss Shamour.

He begins studying to become a Royal Teacher at the end of the series, wearing the same red ribbon as Miss Shamour.

Kuroro has no memory of his experience while possessed by Rock.

"I want to help everyone."

"Can I truly be useful? I'm so scared, but I'll try my best."

Possession by Rock

While happily playing with his fellow fairies, Kuroro is suddenly possessed by Rock, losing control of his body.

Rock uses Kuroro as a vessel, even transforming his body into an adult form to fight against the Pretty Cures.

During the time of possession, Kuroro has no memory of his actions or experiences.

Rescue and Recovery

In episode 31, Kuroro is freed from Rock by the Pretty Cures and is found unconscious by Haruno Haruka and her friends.

He is cared for by Miss Shamour but remains bedridden and deeply fearful for some time.

With Miss Shamour's encouragement in episode 33, Kuroro finally overcomes his anxiety and regains his cheerful personality.

Return to Hope Kingdom

In episode 40, Kuroro returns to Hope Kingdom with Towa and others, only to be devastated by the sight of their homeland turned into the Forest of Despair.

Feeling helpless at first, Kuroro finds hope and courage through the mutual support of his friends, especially Towa who experienced despair as well.

Final Confrontation

In episode 48, when Rock returns in the form of just a hood, Kuroro is initially terrified but wishes to save Rock after seeing him fight the Pretty Cures.

He bravely retrieves Rock's hood after it is purified.

In episode 49, Kuroro’s wish to help everyone resonates with the returning consciousness of Rock, who then lends Kuroro and Shut power to confront Dyspear alongside their own resolve.

Kuroro stands strong, facing Dyspear on his own terms.

New Beginnings

In the final episode, Kuroro begins his training under Miss Shamour to become a Royal Teacher.

He proudly wears a red ribbon on his chest, a symbol of his aspirations and his beloved mentor.

Kuroro’s transformation from a frightened, lonely fairy to a courageous friend and future Royal Teacher is a testament to his strength.

He is a devoted, gentle companion whose journey inspires both his friends and audiences alike.
