She is a swordsmith belonging to the production-focused guild "Amenoma." Tatara is taciturn, unfriendly, and extremely shy around people.
In Volume 6, she appears as the clerk at the sword shop that Akatsuki visits. After a sword she sold ends up in another person's hands, the influence of the sword's flavor text causes that person to transform into a raid-class monster and become a murderer. When Akatsuki faces this killer, Tatara reforges a sword with her own wishes imbued within it and gives Akatsuki the blade named "Iron-Eater: Tatara."
