Seigen Suzunami

Seigen Suzunami was the captain of Squad 5 during the time Aizen was the lieutenant. He is characterized by his thick red hair and a single bang hanging down. Although he appears cool due to his noble family background, he hates dishonesty and is extremely passionate. However, he is submissive to his only sibling, his sister.

His zanpakuto, primarily utilizing lightning-based techniques and high-speed combat, does not have a Bankai setting despite him being a captain.

Squad 5 under Seigen values swift actions, always taking the initiative and never following behind other squads, proud of their ambition and proactive nature.

However, after losing his sister, he changed and became harsh towards the Kudō twins. He went missing after the battle with Arturo.

Zanpakuto: "Shiden" (Purple Lightning)

Upon release, it transforms into a giant saw-like blade and can emit lightning strikes from the blade.

It mainly performs attacks combining high-speed slashes and lightning strikes.

Release command: "Strike down, 'Shiden'"

Technique "Shigasumi" (Purple Mist)

Emits a wide-range lightning strike that paralyzes enemies.

Technique "Shiden Raikou" (Purple Lightning Roar)

Generates a purple lightning strike forward to attack enemies.
