Letizia

Letizia is the official adopted daughter of Aub Ahrensbach and his first wife. In reality, she is their granddaughter, as her real mother was married into the Drevanchel family. Because Ahrensbach had too few candidates for lordship due to political trouble, Letizia was taken in and officially recognized as their daughter.

Unique Traditions and Arranged Marriage

Ahrensbach has a tradition that when someone becomes the new Aub, the other candidates of the same generation are demoted to high nobility. To avoid this, Detlinde was chosen as a temporary Aub. Letizia was assigned to become Aub after her, based on an agreement involving Ferdinand and a royal order. Letizia is also engaged to Prince Hildebrandt by royal command. She is meant to marry him as an adult and take over as Aub.

Letizia is hard-working and earnest. She faces strict lessons from Ferdinand every day, doing her best to meet high expectations. Even when she struggles, she tries not to give up.

She cares about her friends and treasures her relationships. Her kind nature helps her build strong bonds with others, like Rozemyne.

Letizia becomes close to Rozemyne through letter exchanges. They grow to be good friends, sharing messages about daily life. Rozemyne even gives Letizia a plush Smil toy with a recording of her birth parents’ voices, showing their friendship and support.

She is also under the care and guidance of Ferdinand, whose teachings are strict but meant to prepare her for her future roles.

Adoption and Becoming a Lord Candidate

Letizia’s journey starts when she is adopted as a lord candidate because of the lack of other candidates in Ahrensbach. She is recognized as the official daughter of Aub Ahrensbach and his first wife, even though she is actually their granddaughter.

Political Marriage and Strict Education

To avoid the tradition that would demote other candidates, Detlinde becomes the temporary Aub, and plans are made for Letizia to take the role next. She is set to enter political marriages, first being adopted by both Ferdinand and his wife, and then being engaged to Prince Hildebrandt to reinforce her position.

Ferdinand comes to Ahrensbach and begins training her. His education is tough, but he wants her to become worthy of her responsibilities. Letizia sometimes struggles with this strict guidance, but she keeps going.

Friendship with Rozemyne

Part of Letizia’s lessons under Ferdinand includes exchanging letters with Rozemyne, who lives in Ehrenfest. Their friendship grows deeper, and Rozemyne sends Letizia a special toy containing a recording of her real parents’ voices to cheer her up and encourage her.

Being Used in a Plot and Her Rescue

During an invasion by Lanzenave, Letizia is manipulated by Detlinde and Georgine. She is made part of a plan to poison Ferdinand without realizing it. Later, she is almost kidnapped onto a Lanzenave ship, but she is saved by the combined army of Ehrenfest and Dunkelfelger.

Treated Kindly as a Victim

After the war, Letizia is not blamed as a rebel. Thanks to the kindness of Rozemyne and Ferdinand, she is seen as one of the victims. She is allowed to keep her position as a lord candidate in the new territory of Alexandria.

Letizia’s story is filled with challenges, but she grows through each one. Her friendships and her honest heart help her face each trial, making her a hopeful future leader.
