A candidate for the lordship of Ahrensbach. She is the adopted daughter of Aub Ahrensbach and his first wife, and their granddaughter by blood. Due to a political upheaval that left a shortage of lord candidates, the first wife took in the child of her daughter who had married into Drevanchel, and she was baptized with Aub Ahrensbach and the first wife as her parents. Therefore, officially, she is considered their daughter.

To avoid the Ahrensbach custom where lord candidates of the same generation are demoted to high-ranking nobles upon assuming the position of Aub, it has been decided that Dietlinde will assume the role of interim Aub, marry Ferdinand by royal decree to become their adopted daughter, and further, by royal decree, become engaged to Prince Hildebrandt, marry upon reaching adulthood, and assume the position of Aub. Since Ferdinand's arrival in Ahrensbach, she has been struggling with his strict education.

As part of Ferdinand's education, she began corresponding with Rozemyne in Ehrenfest, and became close enough that Rozemyne, concerned for her, sent her words to admonish Ferdinand and a Shumil plush toy with recordings of her real parents' voices.

During the invasion of Lanzenave, she was manipulated by Dietlinde and Georgine and used to poison Ferdinand. She was also nearly abducted onto a Lanzenave ship but was rescued along with other hostages by the allied forces of Ehrenfest and Dunkelfelger, who launched a counter-invasion of Ahrensbach. After the Lanzenave war, thanks to the compassion of Rozemyne and Ferdinand, she was treated as a victim rather than part of the rebellious lord's family and remained in her position as a candidate for the lordship of the new territory, Alexandria.
