Taisho

Taisho is a white boss cat who is kept at Haruno Akiyama's house.

She is often sighted in various places around the city of Kofu.

The origin of her name is said to be because she was born in the Taisho era,

but depending on the location, she is called by different names.

Taisho is a cat character appearing in Afro's manga and anime "mono."

She is the pet cat of Haruno Akiyama, a four-panel manga artist whom Satsuki Amamiya and the others come to know.

She lives with Haruno Akiyama at the candy shop run by Haruno's Grandmother.

However, Taisho often does not return home for several days after leaving,

demonstrating a free-spirited — or rather, free— nature.

Her activity range is wide;

she is frequently spotted on various street corners and roads.

There are many rumors about her,

such as attempting to board limited express trains without a ticket only to be stopped by station staff.

Satsuki Amamiya and An Kiriyama even encounter her at a place far away from home,

the Yamanashi Prefectural Science Center.

Her name's origin is uncertain;

it is said either "She was already alive in the Taisho era,"

or "She is the boss cat of the nearby cats, hence 'Taisho.'"
