Kiryuu Kaoru

Kiryuu Kaoru is distinguished by her long, slicked-back blue hair and a similarly icy eye color. After being revived thanks to the spirit of the Princess of Green Land, her eye color changes from blue to a pale wisteria (light blue-purple) and her eyes take on a more human appearance. She is relatively tall for her age.

When spending time with the art club, Kaoru can be seen in casual attire consisting of a white jacket and pants. In crossover All-Stars movies, this outfit is her signature look.

When channeling the "Power of Wind," Kaoru’s hair grows even longer and fans outwards. She wears a sky-blue robe featuring a forehead emblem, and her spherical earrings share the same jewel color as Hoop’s tail.

While Kaoru may appear unsociable and detached, she is actually more emotionally driven than her sister, Kiryuu Michiru. She quickly becomes invested in the people of Green Land, even if she treats classmates coldly at first. She never condescends to others, treating characters like Minori as equals and offering genuine advice, which deepens their bonds.

Though she excels both academically and athletically, her primary growth is emotional—in secret, she protects the Pretty Cure and reveals her true intentions during a confrontation. When told “people who understand the importance of life could never desire destruction,” she recognizes her softer side and chooses to act true to herself.

After her revival, Kaoru grows more expressive and finds joy in creative activities, taking up drawing in the art club alongside Mai.

Kaoru’s journey from a cold, isolated figure to an open and emotionally honest friend is central to her storyline. After her revival, her connections with others, especially Mai and Minori, become vital to her newfound sense of belonging and purpose.

Though she tries to remain emotionally detached, Kaoru’s tendency to help others emerges early on. She quietly assists the Pretty Cure when they are attacked by Dorodoron. Her involvement with Green Land’s people leads to powerful feelings—she begins to question the path she’s on.

When Kaoru chooses to reveal her true identity to the Pretty Cure and fight alongside them, she is challenged by Mai, who believes those who understand the value of life cannot truly crave destruction. Following her revival, Kaoru’s demeanor softens. She begins to express herself openly and discovers a love for drawing, joining the art club with Mai and other members. Her new openness is evident in her expanded range of emotional expression.
