Kappa

There is a low-level youkai who is sensitive to extreme heat. He was found by Takashi Natsume nearly dried out by the roadside, and after being saved, began to adore Natsume, calling him "Boss Natsume." He does not appear to have high learning ability and is found in a state close to drying out every time, always having wandered too far from water. Each time, Natsume rescues him by pouring water onto the plate on his head, which has become a regular occurrence. His first appearance is in the manga, Volume 2, Chapter 5, and in the anime, in Season 1, Episode 4.
