Gou-yan

Gou-yan is best described as the sensible counterpart between the two friends.

He tends to have normal tastes and reactions compared to his circle, especially next to Hone-chan’s extreme otaku antics.

He is quick with witty retorts from the sidelines and usually acts as the straight man in comedic situations.

Gou-yan possesses a strong sense of common sense, making him the group’s unintentional voice of reason.

Unlike Hone-chan, who declares that “anything cute, whether machine or man, is a girl”, Gou-yan keeps his desires and interests in check.

Still, he’s a typical middle school boy and not above enjoying humor or light-hearted mischief.

While not adventurous when it comes to taste or hobbies, he ends up being the subject of fanservice and unexpected situations more than he’d like.

Gou-yan prefers to observe interactions from the side and deliver snappy comments, rather than taking center stage himself.

He may blush or react awkwardly but won’t actively get involved in over-the-top otaku plans.

Despite his reservations, he often finds himself roped into bizarre events by his more eccentric friends.

Gou-yan is a close friend of Kotaro Kawaii and regularly hangs out with him and Hone-chan.

He admires, perhaps even envies, the playful bond between Kotaro Kawaii and Puniru.

Though often surrounded by eccentric personalities—like Hone-chan’s elaborate schemes or Puniru’s antics—he rarely initiates chaos himself.

Despite being the “normal” one, Gou-yan is frequently caught in comedic or risqué scenes.

He is the unofficial fanservice character in the story, often ending up unclothed for gag purposes.

Gou-yan often ends up reacting to Hone-chan’s outlandish ideas—like buying women’s swimsuits to force a beach event.

While he rolls his eyes at these plans, he inevitably gets swept up in the madness.

His facial expressions and one-liners steal the scene, delivering much of the series' understated humor.
