Mui

Mui is introduced as Shen Xiang’s right-hand woman and closest supporter.

She is depicted as a teenager, around 17 or 18 years old, with a disciplined but passionate personality.

She fights using martial arts on the same level as Shen.

Despite this, she initially cannot become a member of the Union’s Roundtable because she is not yet a Negator.

Mui lost her parents to a mysterious creature known as a UMA, leaving her an orphan at a young age.

She was later found and taken in by Shen Xiang, whom she has admired and followed ever since.

She also had a younger brother, but he died before the main events of the story.

This loss further deepens her attachment to Shen, who becomes both a mentor and an emotional anchor for her.

Mui’s personality blends earnest devotion with strong personal resolve.

She wants the strength to stand beside Shen as an equal, not just as someone being protected.

She is gentle toward Shen but ruthless when it comes to protecting him.

This drive pushes her to make increasingly extreme choices, especially involving Ancient Artifacts.

Mui’s primary role is to support Shen Xiang in his missions and daily activities.

She manages his logistics, assists in combat, and acts as his partner in both strategy and execution.

In terms of martial arts, Mui is said to be on par with Shen himself.

Her skills are sharpened through relentless training, allowing her to hold her own against powerful enemies.

However, at first she is not a Negator, which prevents her from sitting at the Union’s Roundtable.

She quietly resents this, feeling frustrated that her lack of a Negation ability keeps her from fully standing at Shen’s side in the organization’s hierarchy.

To protect Shen, Mui begins using multiple Ancient Artifacts, despite his wishes.

She knowingly goes against his intentions, prioritizing his survival over his ideals.

During the confrontation with Feng Kowloon, Shen is mortally wounded.

Realizing he cannot be saved by normal means, Mui makes a brutal and decisive choice.

She personally ends Shen’s life with her own hands to ensure a clean death.

Immediately afterward, she activates the Ancient Artifact known as “Death Game,” a relic that can bring someone back as a jiangshi, a kind of reanimated corpse.

Using Death Game, Mui resurrects Shen as a jiangshi, allowing him to keep fighting in a new, undead form.

This act is both an expression of her devotion and a violation of the natural order, underscoring how far she will go for him.

Because Shen dies and is revived, his original Negation ability is transferred away.

At that moment, Mui inherits a new Negation power and becomes the Negator of the ability called Untruth.

By becoming the Negator of Untruth, Mui finally qualifies as a member-class fighter on the same metaphysical stage as the other Roundtable members.

This transformation fulfills her long-standing wish to gain a Negation ability, though it comes at a heavy emotional cost.

In a subsequent time loop, Mui appears again with even more refined martial arts skills.

Her physical techniques are sharper, more efficient, and clearly improved from her earlier self.

Despite these upgrades in ability, her emotional and relational dynamics with Shen remain largely unchanged.

She is still fiercely loyal, protective, and deeply attached to him, continuing to orbit his life and battles.

Her combination of high-level martial arts and the Negation of Untruth makes her a much more formidable presence.

Even so, the core of her character remains that of a devoted partner willing to defy fate, rules, and even death itself for Shen Xiang.
