Hayase Nagatoro

The heroine of this story is a first-year student in class C at Kazehaya High School. She enjoys teasing and mocking her senior, but only plays a sadistic character towards those she actually likes, specifically her senior. In reality, she is a sensible person, quite the opposite of the "Nagatoro Friends". She is athletic and serves as a helper in the swimming club, with tanned skin everywhere except where covered by her swimsuit. Her full name was revealed in a game's credits by the author and was also disclosed in Chapter 62 of the manga. Nagatoro is called "Nagatoro" by her senior, "Hayacchi" by Gamo and Yosshii, "Toro-chan" by Sakura, and "Cat Ears Girl" by Sana Sunomiya. Nagatoro has a sister named Misaki and a brother named Taiga. She stands out for her extreme actions towards her senior but, conversely, if anyone else makes eyes at or speaks ill of her senior, or touches him too familiarly, she glares at them with an intense look. As the story progresses, she begins to show her affection for her senior more overtly, and if she feels she has overdone her actions, she sincerely apologizes, showing her sensible side. There are also frequent scenes where she blushes and reflects on her actions after parting from her senior. Generally, she has no interest in other guys except her senior, and she dismisses boys who approach her with self-serving motives with indifference or a cold attitude, clearly reacting negatively towards others.

As a child, she was dedicated to judo and prided herself on her strength, but she lost confidence after being defeated by Orihara, who she considered weaker at the same dojo. When she met Orihara again as her opponent at a school judo tournament, Orihara had become an Olympic candidate. Feeling her weakness compared to Orihara, who had not fled from judo, she became disheartened. However, with encouragement from her senior, she regained her passion for judo. Although she lost the match against Orihara, she took this as motivation for revenge and vowed to beat Orihara, thereby joining the judo club.
