Yuuna Shigemura

Appears in the anime movie "Ordinal Scale." She is a childhood friend of Eiji (SAO avatar name: Nautilus), and their shared interest in games kept them connected even after attending different high schools. In the real world, she continued to affectionately call him "Ei-kun." Due to her father's strictness, she was only allowed to play classical music and had been learning piano and classical guitar since she was young. However, she actually preferred singing, especially girls' pop and anime songs. Her favorite genre was rhythm games, but she became interested in SAO after learning about the existence of musical instrument skills through Eiji's invitation.

In SAO, she was a female player with the rare "Chanting" skill, which was almost unheard of by the time of the 40th floor conquest (October 15, 2023, in the story). Secretly, she made it a habit to sing three songs using the "Chanting" skill at a teleport gate in some town every night, earning her the nickname "Song Enchanter," or "Songchan" for short, from her fans. To rescue players trapped in a dungeon's "confinement trap," she volunteered for the mission with Nautilus, hoping to support them with her "Chanting" skill. During the mission, she managed to save the rescue team from a double disaster by acting as a decoy with her "Chanting" skill, but she was the only casualty, being overwhelmed by more than 20 monsters. Her death cast a significant shadow over her father and Nautilus afterward.
