The manager of the Western confectionery shop "Susuki," where Aoi Yukimura works part-time, appears in the original story as a neighbor of the Yukimura family. In the anime adaptation, due to his friendship with Megumi Yukimura, he also serves as the president of the neighborhood association.

As the manager of the cake shop "Hanasaika Susuki," he has extensive knowledge and a deep love for cakes, befitting his position. When a young girl came to buy a cake without knowing about tax-excluded pricing, he kindly sold it to her without mentioning the difference. However, when Aoi Yukimura visited the store with Hinata Kuraue and his classmates, and Hikari Onozuka handed out three whole boxes of products for free, the manager was understandably troubled. He also tends to be somewhat overprotective, taking an interest in Aoi Yukimura's romantic affairs.
