The manager of the convenience store where Mari Tamaki and Hinata Miyake work is notable for his attentiveness towards the staff. He demonstrates thoughtful care by, for example, announcing the distribution of movie tickets in the staff room, and creating and posting homemade posters in the store to cheer on Mari Tamaki and Hinata Miyake when they depart for Antarctica. He also shows his consideration by being the only person to receive a New Year's card from Hinata Miyake during her trip to Antarctica.
