Yukito Yanagi is the protagonist of the story. He hails from Ayakajima and lost his father, Makoto Yanagi, at the age of five.
Yukito's mother is unknown, and he grew up in a foster facility on the mainland after his father passed away.
He has almost no recollection of his time on the island.
During his time at the facility, Yukito was teased by other children, which caused his special powers to go out of control.
Because of this, he avoided interacting with others and kept his distance from people.
After graduating from middle school, Jingi Sagawa forcefully brought Yukito back to Ayakajima.
There, Yukito began to awaken and inherit the special abilities from his father, discovering his own potential.
