Hiiragi was once a guardian spirit of the mountains, but she was captured by humans and sealed to protect a storehouse. As a child, Hiiragi met Shuuichi Natori, who helped bandage her wounded right hand—a memory Hiiragi cherishes. After Natori became an exorcist, Hiiragi planned to let herself be exorcised to help him gain achievements, unaware that he never truly wanted to harm her. Instead, with the help of Takashi Natsume and Madara, Hiiragi survives and is freed from her curse. Afterward, she chooses to become Natori's familiar and calls him her "master."
