Mimika was a high leveled player in The World two years before the events of .hack//Sign. Mimika was Mimiru's first mentor. The character Mimika was played by three female high school students who wanted a high leveled character but knew that they could not make such a strong character individually. Mimika desired nothing more than the gratitude of others. Mimika died sacrificing herself with an attack to save Mimiru and her friend from a high leveled monster. The three girls controlling Mimika had agreed to stop playing The World when they graduated from high school, and after the death of Mimika they indeed never played again. The crystalline body of Mimika can still be seen in the dungeon where she died.
