Kai Kurigasa

A first-year student with a stoic personality. He has not had a girlfriend for 15 years and 8 months. He has a crush on Azuki Shinatsu. He challenged someone to a duel for the chance to win Azuki's affection, but was defeated by Azuki after Takeru Ooyama interrupted, creating an opening. At the end of the semester, he was completely defeated by Ming Yang. During the summer break, he trained at Takeru Ooyama's dojo. His Maken (Steel), "Full Metal," allows him to change his body to the hardness of steel. If he hardens his entire body, he becomes unable to move, so he usually hardens only parts of his body to adapt during combat.
