The protagonist is a 28-year-old middle school social studies teacher and is said to be a descendant of Nobunaga Oda. Since childhood, he has had negative feelings about his own name, and he is also rumored to be the reincarnation of Nobunaga. His hobby is playing dating simulation games, and he dreams of creating an ideal harem, though he maintains an ethical sense as a teacher.
Before turning thirty, he encounters antiques and descendants related to Nobunaga Oda, and awakens the ability to summon those who still have regrets connected to Nobunaga. To realize his dream harem, he searches for ways to resolve the lingering regrets of historical figures like Saitō Kichō. In order to avoid touching Nobunaga-related items, he usually wears gloves.
Nobunaga Oda was a warlord who came close to unifying Japan, and his soul now resides in the protagonist. When the protagonist obtains the legendary sword "Jitsukyu Mitsutada," Nobunaga Oda appears, and other figures associated with him, such as Saitō Kichō, are also summoned. Nobunaga Oda tries to help the protagonist fulfill his hobby, feeling pity for his descendant who cannot find a girlfriend. However, in the end, he is persuaded by these figures and returns to the past.
