Her transformation as a magical girl gives her a look reminiscent of a chameleon, and she wields a yo-yo as her weapon. Her Soul Gem, split in half in the center, is yellow-green and located on her right hip.

Urara is optimistic, energetic, and earnest, fully devoted to helping those around her. Her go-getter attitude often leads her to act impulsively, sometimes resulting in clumsy mistakes. She is unable to be genuinely cruel, even to enemies, demonstrating notable kindness. Despite her cheerful demeanor—marked by her unique use of “uchi” (referring to herself), sentence endings like “-n yo”, and her infectious “Nipa!” smile—she often struggles with feelings of inadequacy. Her warmth and sociability make her endearing, but she wrestles with emotional insecurities and the fear of not living up to her own or others’ expectations.

Urara hails from Yunokuni City, where she made a name for herself as a prodigious young street performer. She comes from a financially challenged household and has younger siblings to care for, which drives her to be responsible and consider the well-being of others. Her dream was to bring joy to the world as part of the world’s best performance duo, aiming to make everyone laugh alongside her partner Kurara. Sadly, a misunderstanding and inability to recognize Kurara's feelings led to the deterioration of their relationship, resulting in a painful outcome for Urara.

After encountering Rabi Himuro and her group, as well as Kyubey, she learns of the existence of magical girls and makes her wish ("Save Kurara") to become one. She later relocates to Futaki City, joins Promised Blood, and becomes involved in their affairs, including secret activities under the organization "Folklore at Midnight."

Urara’s magical girl form grants her the use of a yo-yo with a special thread that not only binds foes but also can slice through anything it touches. Her yo-yo and combat style draw from her street performance background, with skills that reflect her acrobatic flair.

Urara’s journey begins in Yunokuni City, where she becomes aware of magical girls after being saved by Rabi Himuro’s group and targeted by Kyubey. Making the wish to save Kurara, she contracts as a magical girl.

Moving to Futaki City and Promised Blood

She transfers to Futaki City and attends a local school affiliated with her old one. Here she becomes a member of Promised Blood, working as a monitor and caretaker for Ui Tamaki, while secretly laying traps and hiding the group’s true nature.

Folklore at Midnight

In Chapter 6, it is revealed that Urara is also a member of the clandestine group "Folklore at Midnight." As the battles escalate, she ultimately leaves Promised Blood, struggling between loyalty and her own sense of justice.

Growth and Resolution

Urara’s magical girl side stories delve into her emotional struggles with leaving her entertainment agency, her painful fallout with Kurara, and her arc of growth as she seeks reconciliation. She flourishes as a supportive role model for children in the Diabolo Classroom.
