Ashaf

Ashaf, one of the main protagonists of the series, is a sorcerer affiliated with the Mage Order. He is tall, has slicked-back hair, and is often seen smoking, which is one of his notable characteristics. He always carries on his back the coffin in which Guideau's true form is sealed. While on a mission to find and bring back witches, he encountered Guideau and began traveling together due to their shared goal of searching for witches.

In contrast to Guideau, Ashaf maintains a gentle and gentlemanly demeanor, though he can give off a somewhat suspicious impression. He remains calm in any situation and, as someone responsible for scouting witches, is highly skilled in negotiation. He possesses extensive knowledge about sorcery and witches, and his abilities as a sorcerer are first-rate. Although he modestly claims that he is not suited for direct magic combat, Ashaf is capable of wide-area reconnaissance through his familiar, a crow, as well as setting up defensive barriers and performing healing and detoxification, among other diverse abilities. He is especially confident in dispelling magic, stating that he surpasses even witches in this field.
