Shunma Suruga

Shunma Suruga is a woman with a boyish look. Her appearance is sharp and stylish, matching her reputation as an "edgy and fashionable" creator. When she first joined the Special Situations Countermeasures Council, many were surprised to find out she was female, as most assumed she was a man.

Suruga has a strong sense of professionalism.

She does not hesitate to write harsh or dramatic events into her stories if she thinks they will make them better.

She speaks with a Kansai (Keihan) accent in Japanese, which gives her a unique charm.

She can seem cool and tough, but she is also passionate about her creative work.

Shunma Suruga is best known as the original creator of "code Babylon."

She often gets mistaken for a male author due to her pen name and the nature of her stories.

Her gender surprised even her fellow creators when they first met her at the Special Situations Countermeasures Council.

Suruga is most famous for creating the character Blitz Talker, who is known for his tough and tragic backstory.

Marine deeply respects Suruga, but also feels a sense of inferiority compared to her.

Suruga, however, is inspired by Marine’s works and feels a competitive spirit towards her.

Blitz Talker, one of Suruga's creations, plays an important role in her story, showing both tension and growth.

Aki Kikuchihara and others worked hard to bring Suruga into their group early, partly because Blitz was on the side of the Military Princess (Selesia Upitiria's rival) at that point.

Being Mistaken for a Man

Suruga often gets mistaken for a man because of her name and work style. The other members of the Special Situations Countermeasures Council were very surprised when they met her for the first time and saw she was a woman.

Creating the Spinoff for the Elimination Chamber Festival

Later in the story, Suruga creates a spinoff of "code Babylon" for the Elimination Chamber Festival.

This spinoff is important because it features the return of Erina Talker, an original character who had died in the main storyline.

The Showdown at Nissan Stadium

On the day of the event, Blitz Talker (who was once on the side of the Military Princess) shows up at Nissan Stadium with the goal of confronting Suruga.

He finds Suruga in a locker room, smoking a cigarette.

Blitz is upset about how Suruga wrote Erina’s death in the original story and confronts Suruga about the issue.

Eventually, Blitz points a gun at Suruga and shoots her, seemingly killing her.

This would have been the second time a fictional character killed their creator in the story.

The Big Twist: Erina’s Return

As the gunshot echoes, the Japanese Self-Defense Forces surround Blitz, but then Erina herself appears.

Blitz is shocked and confused, asking why Erina is there.

He learns that it was part of a grand plan to sway his heart and loyalty.

Blitz is angry about being manipulated, but still overjoyed to see his daughter again.

After this, Blitz turns his gun away from Suruga and points it at Altair’s (Meteora Österreich’s enemy) side, changing sides in the conflict.

Suruga’s Survival

Though it looked like Suruga was shot, she survives thanks to wearing a bulletproof vest.

Her bold and dramatic plan to bring Blitz over to their side succeeds perfectly.
